WHAT TO WEAR: Finals

As the end of the school year rapidly approaches, there’s only one thing keeping us from the freedom that summer brings: finals.

The end of the semester is one of the most stressful periods in college life. After studying for countless hours and working on seemingly endless papers and projects, most students don’t have the energy to get dressed up. Rather than wearing sweatpants and a hoodie to your finals, think about following one of my favorite mantras, “Look good, feel good” to boost your confidence.

This Fashionisto looks perfectly put together and ready to go slay his finals. The plaid and Patagonia vest combined is somewhat unexpected and dresses up his outfit. He kept the rest of his look casual and preppy with a pair of khaki shorts and flip flops. If one of the finals you’re taking is in a cold classroom, take a note from this Fashionisto and layer up! Adding a lightweight layer will keep you comfortable, so you can focus better on your final.

Dressing up for your finals can boost your self-esteem and motivate you to do well, but by no means do you have to wear something formal in order to feel confident. In this case, a little effort can go a long way. For your next exam, study this Fashionsto’s look and you’ll be dressed for success.

One Simple Change: This look can easily transition into an outfit to wear to either Parent’s Weekend or brunch by exchanging the flip-flops for a pair of boat shoes. Adding a pair of closed-toe shoes will dress up the outfit while still giving off a preppy vibe.
