3 Reasons Why a Caribbean Cruise is the Best Vacation

Have you been debating on whether to go on that Caribbean cruise? I’ll make your decision process a little easier by explaining why I loved my cruise experience and why you will too! Below are my top three reasons why going on a cruise is better than any other vacation.

Instagram Photos

If you love photography like me, you’re always eager to post a photo. As eager as we are to post a photo all the time, we want it to be high quality and look like it came out of a magazine. Visiting the different Caribbean islands gives you that option with little to no editing. The scenery is just so perfect and vibrant in color that it’s needless to take it over to VSCO to find a filter for it. I (over)bought a ton of cute tropical clothes and planned out my outfits for each island. The cool part about doing this is that if you wear a store’s product and take a really awesome photo, you may get featured on their social media pages. I wore a hat that says “Do Not Disturb” and took a photo with it on in St. Lucia and just sent it over to the company and they posted it on their Instagram and Twitter. Also, since you get to visit a different island every day, it’s cool to post a photo every day at a different location. When else do you really get to do that?

Excursions

For those of you who are like me and need to be active on your vacation, a cruise is a perfect vacation for you. Personally, I don’t prefer going out to the same beach every day and just sitting and relaxing all day. I would much rather experience new and exciting adventures. When you go on a cruise, you’re able to experience a new island every day, along with choosing excursions that fit your interests! From the two cruises I’ve been on, I’ve swum with string rays, snorkeled, scuba dived, zip-lined, and swam with dolphins. They were all amazing experiences that I’ll never forget.

The Beaches

The Caribbean really has the most amazing beaches I have ever seen. The water is so blue it almost seems unreal. Also, if you don’t want to spend the money on a snorkeling excursion, most the time you can just bring snorkeling gear to the beach and find some exotic fish right there. When we stopped at St. Maarten, we visited Maho Beach which is right next to an airport. So, when you’re laying on the beach you get to watch the airplanes fly right above you and land behind you. Oh, and of course, it makes for really awesome Instagram pics!
