WHAT TO WEAR: Library

When you’re heading to the library to write a paper, study for an exam or cram in a 50 page reading in one night, planning a cute outfit is probably the last thing on your mind. While we all want to be comfy, pajamas aren’t the most fashionable thing. The key here is to find the line between comfort and “real” clothes. You want to be motivated enough to tackle your homework, but comfy enough to sit for a few hours.

This Fashionista chose the best go-to outfit, the simple white V-neck T-shirt and dark wash denim jeans. This is the perfect start to an outfit when you’re in a rush because you can easily change the look to your style with accessories. Here she added a chic army jacket with black leather detailing. This instantly adds edge to her outfit. She also has a cozy sweater tucked into her tote so she has a comfier option when she gets down to that ten page paper. Then, when she leaves to go to her next class she can swap the sweater back for the jacket for a more fashionable look. Layering is key to a library outfit because we all know how cold the library can get when you’re just sitting for multiple hours.

She is also wearing some comfy yet trendy Birkenstocks, which are perfect for the library because they can easily slide on and off for more comfort! She added some arm candy with a tortoiseshell watch and gold bangles. Her leather tote bag is also perfect to hold her laptop, books and sweater.  After grabbing a coffee and her books, this Fashionista is ready to go in this chic and casual laid back look.

One Simple Change: I would swap her Birkenstocks for some black heeled booties as well as ditch the tote bag for a small black clutch. I would also toss her hair into a fun ponytail and maybe add some red lipstick. Voila! You now have the perfect date night or girl’s night out look.
