WHAT TO WEAR: Holiday Party

What to Wear

Mixing metals and pairing black and brown were once considered fashion taboo, but not anymore! Along with being a rule of the past this Fashionista styles all of the above unmentionables perfectly in an effortless stylish look, perfect for a holiday get together. As the semester is drawing to a close we’re all heading back to our hometowns for a nice break and of course holiday dinners with family and friends; which of course means you need a look (or two) for such occasions.

This Fashionista starts out her look with a structured skirt with metallic threading throughout. The little bit of sparkle in the skirt says “I’m being festive without wearing the obvious red and green ensemble.” She brings out her metallic further with mixing metals with her statement necklace and gold cuff.

She keeps the rest of the outfit fairly simple to keep the majority of the interest on the skirt and jewelry. A basic grey cami and oversized cardigan create the perfect combination of comfy meets ultra girly. Finishing off the look with a pair of opaque black tights, a knee-high pair of brown leather riding boots and a little black cross-body bag.

Congratulations on another semester under our belts and of course being that much closer to graduation! Now its time to take a break and party!

One Simple Change: Swap out the riding boots for a pair of suede wedges and the sweater for a structured blazer. This look would be great for an internship or class presentation.
