WHAT TO WEAR: Graduation

June 10th, 2015 at 2:00am

As mid-June rolls around so does warmer weather, longer days and graduation invitations. Graduations are a time to celebrate with people about a great accomplishment, but they can be long and most of the time uncomfortable (ouch, sitting on bleachers). It can be easy to show up in a simple dress with little effort to remain cool and cozy, but this Fashionista shows a new alternative to the standard dress: a jumpsuit.

Jumpsuits are my favorite thing in fashion right now because they can go so many different ways. For a graduation there is always an element of formality, so this Fashionista has made her jumpsuit fit the bill with a pair of wedges. The wedges add sophistication, length and comfort, while not pushing the envelope of too sexy for something as professional as a graduation. The jumpsuit steals the show with its sleek lines and different eye appeal. This Fashionista can stay comfortable through all of the speeches and the reading of the names while still looking fabulous for pictures afterward.

Speaking of afterward, this Fashionista has prepared for the weather by bringing along this RAD denim jacket that has a great threading pattern on the back to give her outfit a pop of color while keeping her warm for when the sun goes down. The denim against the black creates nice definition to her waist while still giving her comfort. Graduation wear can be difficult because the level of dressiness can always depend, but going with black and adding some type of heel is a safe bet to attending that graduation in style.

ONE SIMPLE CHANGE: It’s easy—just change the shoes and you have yourself a traveling look. By adding Converse or a snazzy pair of sneakers the look is toned down to a more effortless feel. It still contains a great deal of comfort which makes it perfect for sitting on planes or in cars for long periods of time.
