WHAT TO WEAR: Girl’s Night Out

Girl’s night out anyone? Since summer is now upon us and everyone is home for a few months, my nights mainly consist of catching up with old friends. Sometimes these nights consist of watching movies and trying out some new Pinterest recipe for a chocolate dessert that I don’t need but certainly want. Other nights call for a fun outing downtown.

This particular look is perfect for a night out. It is cute and colorful, which is perfect for summer. Not only is it cute, it is also completely functional. When you live near a city full of hidden gems, most of your nights include lots of exploring until you decide it’s time to go home. These girls nights usually start with a simple dinner at a hip restaurant that we heard about from other friends, but they never end there. After dinner comes the exploring. With lots of getting in and out of cars and walking around town, I always recommend wearing an outfit you can move around in. That’s why this look is perfect.

The Fashionista here is rocking a floral romper and some killer wooden heels. Not only is this a totally awesome romper, but it has a cutout in the back. My favorite outfits are those that have a little peephole. Floral prints are very popular at the moment, and she is working that look. As far as the purse goes, kate spade will always be the perfect choice. The Cedar Street Maise has always been one of my favorite bags. It is the perfect size and makes an outfit look super chic.

One Simple Change: While this look is totally fabulous, you could make one little tweak in order to take this look from day to night. Adding a light kimono can be the perfect touch for a breezy beach night. There also comes a point in the night where those killer heels have lost the cute effect, and they are mainly just killer. Why not replace them with a pair of gladiator sandals? They are perfect for running around town and perfect for completing a rad but totally functional outfit.
