WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

It’s September, which means the weather is getting colder, the leaves will be turning orange, and pumpkin spice lattes will become the regular order. These first few weeks transitioning into the cooler weather can be difficult to find the right outfit. The mornings can start out brisk and cold, but by the end of the day turn back to summer heat. The changing of seasons means the perfect transition in the closet as well. Finding the balance between looking like its mid-July or mid-November can be hard, but Fashionistas all around campus are doing it effortlessly.

This Fashionista blends summer and fall perfectly in her outfit. Starting simple with a pair of black jeans and a teal shirt, she keeps the outfit easy to wear in both the cold mornings with a sweater and in the hot afternoons. Layers are a must for the first few months of fall weather. The white cardigan is lightweight, while still providing some extra warmth, and brings a summery feel with its color. This Fashionista also adds a fall colored scarf to her look, another way to keep warm and transition into fall tones. Her brown boots are a fall staple. The crocheted detail adds a subtle, but unique look to the outfit. Finally, she finishes the outfit off with some bangle bracelets, a sock bun, and purple dangle earrings.

One Simple Change: This outfit is perfect for classes, shopping or a casual lunch. However with a simple change it can be transformed into a look that can be worn for a girl’s night out or a nice dinner. Switch the scarf for a statement necklace, and add some black wedges, and you’re ready for a night out.
