WHAT TO WEAR: Errands

Even when I’m running errands I like to dress up a little, but also be comfortable. Plus, you never know who you’re going to bump into. Fashion designer, Tom Ford once said, “dressing well is a good form of manners,” and I believe this to be absolutely true. Growing up, my mother would always remind me to dress well before leaving the house because it is a good form of manners and is respectable. This is something I will always remember for the rest of my life!

One afternoon I spotted this young Fashionisto while he was running his morning errands. He wore a casual button-down shirt from Gap. It was a purple colored shirt with eye-catching light blue and yellow polka-dots. He wore a pair of gray slim fit pants which perfectly complemented his playful polka-dot button-down shirt. For all you gentlemen out there, button-down shirts are a necessity in your wardrobe because you can dress them up or dress it down, and they have many different styles and patterns!

For shoes, this Fashionisto wore a pair of black and gray Vans sneakers which made the look more casual, comfortable and simple. He threw a white G-Shock watch on his wrist, which I thought was a great accessory to complete his look. Overall, his outfit was very simple, comfortable and was a great choice to wear when running errands. I asked what he had planned for the rest of the evening and he said he was meeting up with a couple of friends to grab a late lunch.

One Simple Change: If you’re going for a date night look, I would go with a chambray button-down shirt in the color clover green with a pair of classic tan shorts (because it’s the summer!) If you add on a belt, a watch and a pair of Ray-Ban’s classic Wayfarer sunglasses, your look will appear sharp and classic. Complete this look by wearing a pair of Sperry Top-Siders boat shoes, and you’re set for the perfect date night!
