WHAT TO WEAR: Day To Night

Sometimes we cram our schedules so tightly that we have to run from place to place all day in the same outfit. Most times a lot of people forget to take care of themselves. In order to keep everything else in our lives in check, it starts with us. So what can we do to change up our look when our day and night activities merge with each other?

Start the day out with the three c’s: chic, casual and comfortable. This will work perfectly to run some errands or stop by your neighbor’s barbeque. Once nighttime rolls around you’ll be ready to catch a movie with your beau or have a girl’s night out with a few simple changes to your ensemble. Did you know that when you have confidence and feel good on the outside you will without a doubt feel good on the inside? It’s true!

When coming across this Fashionista I loved her comfortable and versatile taupe cotton dress. She added a knot on the bottom hem creating more texture to the dress. The skinny gold leather belt around her natural waist also adds more shape to the dress. This Fashionista was wearing neutral-colored faux snakeskin sandals. I love the monochromatic colors that she had for this look, keeping it simple for the daytime while she was running around town. Of course, the modern twist on the classic Ray-Ban aviator added a pop of color that I’m completely obsessed with for the summer. Her natural waves are perfect for the summer and kept it daytime appropriate.

One Simple Change: When the sun begins to set and you have your daily duties checked off, it’s time to make this look a little more nighttime appropriate. Try switching out the sandals for the right pair of summer wedges. Throw your hair up in a sleek ponytail with big, teased curls. You can even try removing the belt and adding layers of long necklaces to dress up the look a bit. Have fun with wherever this summer’s day to night activities will take you. Your days will always start with a good cup of coffee and the right outfit and always end with great (stylish) friends and family, including yourself!
