WHAT TO WEAR: Class

As the Illinois sun is slowly, but surely, becoming less apparent, fashion is following and changing what’s in style as well. The lemon yellow, cotton candy blue and burnt oranges that were popular in the summer are starting to fade away with the season. Two colors  that have prevailed time and time again are of course the striking black and daring army green.

As seen on multiple collections from the fall 2016 season such as Philip Lim and Alexander Wang, the strong yet classic colors are eternal. Once a specific trend such as a certain blouse, material or color are strutted down the runway, then consider it to create some sort of hype that the masses will pick up on.

This Fashionista may not be wearing extravagant pieces like the street-style inspired wardrobe Alexander Wang has in his fall 2016 collection, but the colors are present. Her overall look is perfect for class whether it’s the first day, midterms or finals.

She wears a simple camo T-shirt that can add a little to a basic outfit. Next, she pairs the shirt with high-waisted, black denim jeans. You can’t forget the shoes: she wore the perfect pair to compliment her overall outfit, adidas baseline sneakers.

Just like the Nike superstar sneakers, these adidas have made a comeback and are not showing signs of slowing down on one’s social media feeds from Twitter to Instagram.

She finished her look with gold-framed sunglasses and metallic jewelry to look edgy yet stylish. Don’t forget to accessorize to make the outfit pop.

Fashionistas know how to turn fashion into an art, not just a wardrobe. This look, while simple, still commands attention.
