WHAT TO WEAR: Back to School

It’s that time of year again. The notebooks, crayons, lunch boxes and rolling backpacks are flying off the shelves in preparation for back to school—that is if you are in elementary or junior high school. Meanwhile, us college students prepare in a similar but different fashion that involves moving into a new home that resembles a cement prison cell (also known as dorm rooms). Choosing to buy mandatory books overeating semi-decent food (looks like it’s going to be ramen again…) and realizing that the real world and real responsibilities are just around the corner. So stay young while you can!

But none of that really matters in comparison to the new clothing that you’ll be sporting around campus this semester. That’s right, clothing. Clothing shopping has consistently been my favorite part of back to school shopping since it’s inception. Who doesn’t like sporting new duds on the first day?

So for some inspiration, I thought I’d share this Fashionista’s outfit. She is prepared for anything on campus from class to her extracurriculars. Her stylish outfit is on-trend for the season with her white bohemian tassel T-shirt, coral statement necklace, delicate gold accessories, tan heeled sandals, army green parka and light washed distressed jeans. I’d dare to say that her style game is on-point as she stole inspiration from Preen, Whistles, J.Crew and rag & bone.

One Simple ChangeWant to sport this stylish look, but you’re afraid that it’s not posh enough for your evening event? No problem. Swap the distressed denim for black gaucho pants and trade the casual parka for the eternally classic motorcycle jacket. Grab an oversized clutch and your ready to socialize the night away.
