STYLE GURU STYLE: To Fall or Not To Fall?

The changing of the seasons is always a challenging time. On the calendar it says it’s fall, but us and our closets aren’t prepared yet. It may feel warm outside but we now have to abide by a different set of rules. Living in the South is especially difficult when it is 90 degrees in October and we have to find fall trends that keep us cool. Luckily, I have a few tricks that get me through this difficult time for fashion.

Ripped boyfriend jeans are perfect for fall. They are stylish and at the same time are breathable, comfy and will keep you cool. Any light wash ripped denim is key for getting through this time of year. It’s appropriate for fall and great for a casual warm day.

White tops are also great to wear during the summer to fall transition. They are staples in any wardrobe, and make your summer glow stand out weeks after the season ends. I mean who doesn’t love looking tan? You really can never have enough white shirts.

A current trend that I am obsessed with is sneakers. Models and celebrities have been seen rocking sneakers with skirts or jeans and I personally love it. It is trendy and cool and adds a casual element to any outfit. It is easier than ever to be comfy and cute at the same time, and everyone should take advantage of this!

The changing of the seasons is hard, but there are ways to avoid dressing like you are seasonally confused. Grab your favorite cardigan and pair of jeans and we will get through this one pumpkin spice latte at a time.
