STYLE GURU STYLE: Simply Feminine

Classic colors and soft pastels are what I really find to be the highlights in my closet. Light pinks, grays, nudes, whites and blacks are just what I find very appealing and can always be functional and effortless. When it comes to makeup, a clean and fresh face is something that I find so beautiful, but when I’m feeling dangerous, I’ll add in a dark lip color that may be trending for an added accent. This season, I really liked playing with fashion and being a little more daring, and most of this inspiration came from runway shows.

One collection that really stood out to me this season and also follows my own personal taste was the A.W.A.K.E spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. I obsessed over the basic silhouettes, geometric line motifs and the neutral colors that also came with pops of bright reds and pinks. From this collection, I really took inspiration from the motifs and colors and put a twist on silhouette. I stuck with the traditional soft pastels and neutrals so I could keep a good flow going because my bag wasn’t white or black.

When it comes to my outfit, it’s a mix and match of different popular retailers that attract Fashionistas on a budget like myself! My top with its high neckline and striped detail felt like the perfect option to wear with my high-waisted distressed black denim jeans. They complement one another and don’t clash because the color and cut of the shirt is very feminine and the pants bring a masculine feel. My handbag is very structured and the gold clasp detail adds a touch of femininity and matches perfectly with my necklace and bracelet. The booties add that sense of dressy because of the heel but can also be casual and worn to class as well.

Get My Look: 1. Any tasteful top. 2. High-waisted denim jeans or pants. 3. Any cute bootie.
