STYLE GURU STYLE: In Full Bloom

Ever since the debut of fabulous film The Devil Wears Prada, now my all-time favorite movie and one that I will forever quote to whoever will listen, I have idolized and revered the runway. The runway is a space for color, creativity, elegance and grace. In my opinion, it’s the space where fashion comes to life as visual art.

While one of my favorite pastimes is watching runway shows and combing through Style.com for the latest collections from my favorite designers, I also enjoy pulling inspiration from the runway for my own looks. Right now, I’m drooling over Triya’s collection from the Sao Paulo spring 2015 show. Triya was established in 2005 and is known for its swimwear and casual clothing in extravagant, loud prints. Its spring 2015 collection features several playsuits and maxi-dresses in colorful, vibrant prints, perfect for the beach or a resort destination. Many of the silhouettes are nonrestrictive and relaxed, maintaining a fun, youthful charm. The collection also features bathing suits with unique cuts and electric hues.

Inspired by Triya’s collection, I found this amazing asymmetrical floral print dress from Figleaf Boutique. Arguably one of the most comfortable pieces I own, this dress is perfect for a day in the sand or a night at the local tiki bar. It is extremely lightweight and free flowing, designed for comfort and style.

Additionally, I reinvented Triya’s look with a pair of nude wedges, simple silver jewelry and a coral lipstick. Nude-colored shoes and are the perfect complement to the ensemble, as they do not overwhelm or detract from the statement dress.

Get My Look: 1. Maxi dress.  2. Nude wedges.  3. Silver bracelet.
