I am not normally one to gush over high-end fashion lines, but when I saw a pair of linen shorts, I was delightfully surprised to find that they were from Chanel’s resort 2017 collection. They are cute and they look super comfortable, which are two things I love in fashion. In the show, the army green shorts were paired with a very plain, loose-fitting T-shirt. I was drawn into the neutral colors and simplicity of the outfit and tried really hard to channel the look in my own outfits for the spring.
So many of the clothes I have bought for the spring mirror the simplicity in so many of Chanel’s collection pieces. I found these black linen shorts with fringe (who doesn’t love fringe?) and couldn’t walk away from them. They worked so well with my simple T-shirt, which I also couldn’t walk away from with its clever wording. What do I love most about this T-shirt? It’s cute with a bralette, and I love bralettes. They’re cute when they show under your clothes AND they’re comfortable. Remember? I am all about comfort. I also loved these shorts because they can be casual, like how I wore them here with flip flops, but they can also look dressier when I put them on with a silky shirt and wedges.
Simple jewelry was all I needed to complete my outfit. Simple, comfortable and cute? What more could I ask for?
