STYLE GURU STYLE: Burberry Brilliance

Maybe it’s because Burberry Brit has been my favorite perfume since the age of 11, or maybe it’s because I love to pretend I’m strutting the streets of London on rainy days in the city, but either way, I adore Burberry and always have (and let’s be real, always will). What’s not to love about Burberry Prorsum’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection? I’m still dreaming about the gorgeous poncho and scarves from last year’s ready-to-wear collection, and it seems that Burberry has done it yet again for me. With a variety of “Patchwork, Patterns and Prints” featured in various styles of bohemian silhouettes with fringe and fur accents, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m already excited for fall fashion!

Taking inspiration from Burberry Prorsum’s latest runway show, I decided to play up one of my favorite printed frocks. The pattern of this dress is bright and intricate, very similar to the playful combinations of prints featured in the collection. Throughout the collection, bright patterns are paired with muted, dark toned pieces. I toned down the brightness of the dress with a classic slim-fit black blazer. Along with the assortment of fabulous embellishments in each of Burberry Prorsum’s looks are a pair of black booties or a unique pair of suede, super thigh-high boots. To tie these two themes together I finished off my Burberry-inspired look with a pair of black tights and my go-to black chunky-heeled booties. The Burberry Prorsum models wore boho, effortless hairstyles, so I decided to wear mine long and carefree with a simple middle part.

I know I still have to get through the summer months, but for now I’ll continue to incorporate trends from Burberry’s amazing fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection into my daily spring wardrobe. I hope this post has inspired you to embrace your inner Burberry Brit and check out all of the amazing fashion that is in store for this coming fall!
