STYLE GURU STYLE: Boho Casual

When it comes to my personal style, I’m kind of all over the place. Sometimes I like to dress super fashionable: well thought out layers, accessorized to the nines, etc. Then there are days where I grab the nearest pair of lululemon leggings and a long-sleeved T-shirt, and I’m on my way. However, I often have those in between days where I want to be comfortable but still be able to claim my Fashionista status.

My style aesthetic is very bohemian/surfer chick. I’m obsessed with Free People and anything flowy and pretty. So when it comes to being comfortable I like to pair a high quality, unique piece like this sweater with a bunch of basics: i.e. leggings and boots. Make the special piece the star!

I fell in love with this Free People sweater the moment I saw it. It’s super soft and over-sized which makes me kind of want to wear it every day. I also love the detail in it: the light flecks in the fabric, the low v-neck and the fringe along the sleeve and hem. Although it is new to my closet, I just know it will claim a spot as a treasured and unique piece!

I put on a flirty bralette, since I knew it would show under the sweater, and one of my favorite gold necklaces. I have slowly become addicted to bralettes because they are super comfortable (buh-bye underwire!), and if it shows, it looks pretty and not just like, well, a bra strap. I also grabbed these rad sunglasses since it’s always sunny here in Myrtle Beach! I’ve got an arsenal of sunglasses for every occasion.

When it comes to making a casual look fashionable, accessories are your best friend! You can easily change a look and what it says about you just by the accessories you choose!
