I have completely fallen in love with the color palette used in the Camilla and Marc resort 2015 collection. Who knew that white and gray could be so captivating? We all know that the all-white look has been popular this summer on the runway and all over street style blogs. I think that the addition of gray gives the monochromatic look a subtle depth. Sometimes the simplicity in more neutral color schemes, like this one, is surprisingly a great way to make a bold statement with your outfit.
This week I decided to play around with this white and gray look. To start, I am wearing this white and gray geometric print trouser pant from Gap. I paired them with a white long sleeve top. The top has an asymmetrical loop detail on the front, which is very “in” right now. With a mostly white look, I find it can make you look a little shorter, which is not a good thing if you are only five feet tall like me! So I decided to go with my brown platform sandals to add height to the outfit. If you are the type that can pull off a flat shoe with this look though, a simple Birkenstock sandal will be perfect. I accessorized with some big statement earrings and a fantastic kate spade tote bag. The red and coral stripe on the bag brings a pop of color to break up the monochromatic look. It also has some very wise words, “Eat Cake For Breakfast,” that we should all follow of course!
Some other ways to attain this white and gray color scheme would be with a classic white jean, a white loose-fitting tank top and finish it off with a gray scarf. This simplistic look is perfect for grabbing coffee with friends, going to class or just running some errands. Take an unexpected risk this week and try it out. If you are brave enough, keep rocking this outfit even after Labor Day!
