STYLE GURU STYLE: All-Black With A Pop Of Color

All-black, nude shoes and a single pop of color is hands down the easiest and best go-to outfit for any occasion. This type of outfit can be dressed up or down and can be worn in day, night, fall, winter, spring and yes, even summer! The hint of color can be anything: gold, turquoise, red, green, purple… Literally any color. This versatile outfit is a favorite of mine and I always seem to find myself sticking to this trend. Not to mention it is also very flattering. It is an added bonus that black is very slimming for anyone’s figure.

The all-black trend has been all over runway shows for fall 2015. Alexander McQueen‘s ready-to-wear line for fall 2015 featured all-black outfits, along with other ready-to-wear lines for the season. In one of my favorite looks, Alexander McQueen features an all-black trench coat with a pink fur collar. The pop of color adds another fun aspect to this classic trend. It is clearly very popular and in my opinion and is not a trend that will be going out of style any time soon.

I always love to have some color in my outfits. I add splashes of color here and there to make the outfit unique. All-black is a common theme people wear, but it makes it your own outfit to add some personal touches of color to it. I cannot wear an all black outfit without having color at least somewhere. It is so fun to find that one vibrant color to add to an outfit.

In my version of this classic look, I wore all-black with a turquoise necklace I made myself. I wore my favorite Stuart Weitzman sandal pumps to dress it up. If you are stumped over what to wear, wear all-black! And of course don’t forget the flashes of color!
