STYLE GURU BIO: Sidney Presnell

Hi there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Sidney Presnell. I am currently starting my second semester of freshman year at Iowa State University. I am majoring in Event Management and minoring in Apparel Merchandising/Entrepreneurship. If I’m not at the library studying with my friends for upcoming tests, you can find me back at the dorms in Willow Hall, where I currently live on campus, online shopping for major good deals and watching Netflix.

Throughout my teen years leading up to high school, I was always associated with fashion in one way or another. High school was the beginning when I started to get more into the idea that everyone has their own style. My daily outfits would fluctuate based on how I felt that day, especially the dramatic weather changes Iowa has, and according to the season. Now, a semester into college, my perspective on fashion has changed in a good way because it inspires me to try new outfits each day, such as mix patterns that I never thought of would have looked good before.

I am beginning to shape my style to fit my personality and lifestyle. I love wearing simple and plain pieces, and adding jewelry to dress it up. Fashion is a big part of my life inside and outside of school. I find myself even helping my friends pick out what to wear on weekends because they say that my opinion matters. The fashion industry never stops surprising me with things I thought I’d never wear.

I have recently begun to start following CollegeFashionista for over a couple months now because a friend of mine interned last semester, and now I get the chance to show my creative ability with the rest of you. This will be my first semester interning for Colleg Fashionista, and I could not be more psyched. Walking around campus has given me brilliant ideas to share with the rest of you.

With all that being said, blogging is a new and exciting experience for me to go through. I am looking forward to soaking up every second of it. I am beyond excited to be sharing this experience with all of you and showing you what college students all around have to share; hopefully, inspiring some of you along the way.
