Hey, loves! My name is Monica Marupilla and I’m a sophomore at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. My intended major is business administration with a minor in communications and I hope to someday work for a magazine. This is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and I’m so excited to see what this #RAD semester has in store!
I’m a makeup junkie, a self proclaimed Fashionista and a coffee enthusiast. Ever since I was little, my heart has belonged to all things beauty and fashion. I started out watching “Outfit of the Week” videos and makeup tutorials on YouTube and had my mind set on being just like the people I watched. Soon after, I got into reading blog posts and even started my own blog once I found a love for magazine style writing. From my huge collection of makeup to the excess of clothes spilling out of my closet, it is crazy to see how far I’ve come from Lip Smackers and Limited Too.
To me, style is such a great form of expression and it’s ever changing—just like us! Personally, I am all about the nudes—I die for a bomb nude lip. I like to pair simple, neutral outfits with statement accessories.
For this look I’m wearing an off-the-shoulder white blouse paired with an olive green mini skirt; both from Forever 21. My pearl necklace is Swarovski and my statement rings are from Primark. My heels are from UrbanOG and I balanced the nude with a snake print clutch from Primark.
