STYLE GURU BIO: Logan Collins

Hello fellow fashion lovers! My name is Logan Collins and I am an undergraduate student at Kent State University. My love for all things fashion related has lead me to work towards a Fashion Merchandising major and a minor in Marketing with a concentration in Public Relations. My goal is to one day become a Senior Fashion Buyer. In my free time you can usually find me browsing through Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr for the latest trends. This is my favorite way of finding out what is currently in style and figuring out how to incorporate trends with my current style.

My fashion inspiration can stem from almost anything. This can be anything from music, social media, street style, and celebrities. I have an ever-changing style, one day I will be full on grunge with dark lipstick and the next day I will be wearing crochet and boho inspired pieces. At the moment, I am into clean and simple outfits with accessories that make a statement. I am a big fan of black, and I am firm believer that an all-black outfit can make any girl feel chic, sophisticated and powerful—if done right way, of course! When I’m not wearing black I tend to stick with neutrals consisting of white, olive and blush tones.

This look is a great example of my love for neutrals. I paired my ripped white skinnies jeans with my brown button-down. I put an olive green bralette underneath the shirt for some color contrast. The mix of rose gold and gold jewelry brings the whole outfit together. Incorporating trends into my everyday style tends to be my go to, and this is how I like to work the neutral trend. I look forward to seeing what College Fashionista will bring to me. I hope you stick around and see the style that the Kent State fashionista/os has to offer!
