Hey Fashionista’s! My name is Kilani Harrison and this is my first semester as a Style Guru. I current attend Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. I’m super excited to join the CollegeFashionista team and can’t wait to share my love of fashion with you all.
Presently, I am on track to receive my degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Public Relations in the fall of 2016. With hopes of having a career in the entertainment industry particularly in broadcast journalism, I hope to attend Clark Atlanta University’s Master’s program
When I’m not in school, I work in retail as a visual merchandiser. I love to do floor set and dress mannequins every week. I often end up styling customers and my friends for several events. I am currently putting together a portfolio of the looks I’ve put together, and hope to expand my clientele.
What I love most about fashion and styling is that it has no limitations. You can make it out to be whatever you desire because it is solely an expression of you. I strongly believe that your style reflects the way you choose to present yourself and goes much further than just articles of clothing.
My personal style changes from day to day. I would never label myself with a specific type of “style” because I’ll try anything once. Some days I’m Victoria Beckham with a very “posh” little black dress look and some days I’m Kylie Jenner with a cropped top and ripped up denim.
I feel as long as you’re comfortable and confident in what you wear, no one can knock you down. With that being said, I can’t wait to document and share my favorite styles and advice with you all!
