Hello Fashionistas! My name is Jessica Yoo and I am incredibly excited to kick-start this upcoming fall year with CollegeFashionista. I’m a junior Communications major at University of California San Diego. I actually began my undergraduate career at University of California, Riverside and decided to transfer to San Diego this fall. Although I was, and still slightly am terrified of starting completely new, I know taking risks will only further my experiences in life. So much has changed these past couple of months, but one thing that is true and constant is my love for fashion. I’m very eager to begin my journey chronicling trends and inspirations that make me passionate about fashion.
I’ve always been a Southern California born and bred girl that knows nothing but sunshine and 70-degree weather pretty much year-round. My style reflects that California cool and casual look that is put together but effortless. Fall in Southern California is the perfect weather that calls for cut-off denim shorts and a cozy sweater, pulled together by a great pair of ankle boots. I shop pretty much anywhere that appeals to my eye, but a few websites and stores that are universal include NASTY GAL, Urban Outfitters, Asos, Zara and H&M.
One major goal for these next few months is to get to know Fashionistas from all over the world. It’s so exciting to be able to connect through our love for fashion. I’m looking forward to going through my first steps into pursuing my fashion industry goals with all of you.
