Hello fellow Fashionistas! I’m Danielle, a part-time runner and full-time fashion lover. I’m currently a senior at Elon University studying communications and theater arts. I loved fashion since before I could talk, but recently I’ve become particularly interested in eco-friendly and ethical fashion. Thrifting is both a skill and an art form, and I’m a big believer in the eco and fashion perks of secondhand clothing. I’m also a bit of a beauty junky, and I can’t resist a bold or matte lip color.
My style is best described as sophisticated casual, but I don’t believe in boxing myself in with just one kind of look. I keep a blog as a way to explore my style. Also, I enjoy taking inspiration from fellow Fashionistas on the street, and documenting campus style for CollegeFashionista allows me share those looks with all of you. Fashion offers a glimpse into someone’s personality, and I think chatting with someone about their outfit is the best way to get to know them.
For this look, I channeled my minimalist side and paired an all-black ensemble with a killer blazer in order to create a sophisticated midriff-baring look. My turtleneck crop top is the standout piece because it’s both super flattering and a tiny bit risqué. Plus, I’m a sucker for a good crop top. Nothing is as Parisian-chic as black trousers paired with heels. I finished my outfit with some minimalist jewelry pieces and a bold orange-red lip for a fun and polished look.
