STYLE GURU BIO: Anastasia Demico

Hi, lovely Fashionistas/os! My name is Anastasia and I am currently residing in Orlando, Florida where I attend The University of Central Florida as a freshman. Growing up in Florida has definitely restricted my style to light clothing and anything that can withstand the humidity. Many people this time of year are stocking up on the cutest sweaters and winter coats while I’m anxiously awaiting clothing companies to release their 2016 summer styles. #FloridaProbs

I am planning on majoring in Marketing and minoring in International Business. Traveling is something I have been doing since I was a little girl. I do not think I would be who I am without it, it made me value life by appreciating the beauty of each and every place I go to. My favorite part of traveling is the people watching. Creepy, I know. But I love to see how people dress in different cities and all over the world. Taking inspiration from every place I go has altered the way I dress. If my friends were to explain my style they would most likely say hobo, yet boho. Comfort is key for me, there is nothing I dislike more than being uncomfortable. It is such a mood killer!

This winter I have been loving ponchos and western style hats. Ponchos are life for me, they are basically fashionable Snuggies. Spending my winter in the pacific northwest has allowed me to discover my love for ponchos as well as helping me to pair cute outfits that still keep me warm in the 30-degree weather. I’ve found that the most necessary article of clothing every girl needs to have in her closet is a good pair of jeans. Ones that are so comfortable, but yet stylish. Topshop denim is my new obsession, my black jeans with holes at the knees are the perfect go-to when I am running out the door. I decided to bring back the knee-high boots with this look. They are my “conquer the world” boots. Whether I am running errands, playing in the snow, or going out to a nice dinner this winter these boots will make me look fashionable while still keeping me comfortable.

As a first time Style Guru here on CollegeFashionista, I am so excited to help inspire Fashionistas/os with outfits my fellow UCF classmates rock on the day to day basis as well as helping them to discover new trends. I can’t wait to embark on this journey of fashion while supporting my school in the process.

Be sure to keep on the lookout for my articles and advice each month throughout this spring semester!
