STYLE GURU BIO: Alexandra Lowery

Beautiful wanderers and family members coming from my social media accounts, I’m happy you’re here. As a senior marketing and television double major at the University of Notre Dame, I am so excited to be kicking off my final semester as a college undergrad with CollegeFashionista.

Applying to become a Style Guru was simultaneously something that sounded extremely fun and extremely useful for a soon-to-be graduate searching for a job in the fashion industry. What can I say, my Capricorn sun is always searching for the next best way to stack my resume. However, this astrologist is happy to say that she has landed an amazing job in NYC post-graduation. Now, I’m thrilled to simply relax, learn everything I can and enjoy every moment this semester as CollegeFashionista’s resident Guru for Notre Dame.

Unfortunately, spring is a particularly difficult time of year for school in South Bend, Indiana. We spend the majority of January through April under a permacloud and numerous feet of snow, so be prepared for a good amount of “parka-chic” and advice on how to prevent skin dehydration from walking in negative wind chill on the way to class—the many challenges of a fashion and beauty lover that I’ve loved taking on for the past four years.

My own personal style is ever evolving. A few staples you’ll always catch me in include my well-publicized love for turtlenecks, denim in every form, hoop earrings, opaque (or honestly any) tights, neutrals, thigh high boots and a full face of makeup.

When I’m not watching NYC-based rom-coms or every show available to stream on any online platform, you’ll find me writing, playing guitar and keyboard poorly, singing, coloring, planning trips I can’t take to foreign countries, playing solitaire, watching YouTube makeup tutorials and eating.

Can’t wait for an amazing semester!
