STYLE GURU BIO: Abigail Kullberg

Hello to all you fab Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I’m Abigail, a lover of fashion who’s super excited to be writing a bio for my second semester at CollegeFashionista! I had tons of fun last semester showcasing some stylish students and I can’t wait to see what my favorite season has to bring!

I am currently a junior at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia majoring in Fashion Merchandising. I’m still torn with what I want to do with my degree, but I am currently leaning towards something in visual merchandising/coordinating. In the future, I still hope to live out my 16-year-old self’s dream of opening my own boutique.

I spent my summer working as a stylist at White House | Black Market and as an editorial intern at Girls’ Life magazine in Baltimore, Maryland. I’ve been working retail for about a year and a half now, but had never had an in-office internship before. My time at Girls’ Life was a learning experience, for sure, and I gained an amazing amount of insight about what goes into the making of a publication. I was able to write several articles for the magazine’s website; my favorite things to write about were fashion and DIYs!

When it comes to my personal style, if it’s flowy and comfy, I’ve gotta have it. I’m loving the bohemian trend right now and am obsessed with anything that has fringe, tassels or anything that dangles. Coachella season is one of my favorite times of the year to look for fashion inspiration. I believe that fashion should be fun, whimsical, and a true expression of who we are. As Betsey Johnson said, “Always have fun with fashion. Dress to entertain yourself.”

I’m so thrilled to continue my CollegeFashionista journey and can’t wait to capture some stylish threads this semester!
