STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Walk The Walk

What I often find to be the problem girls face when choosing an outfit is wearing something they feel comfortable in. After all, if you aren’t owning the look, you’re most likely not working the look. Confidence is key, ladies.

Walking around campus, I see an overpopulation of girls in T-shirts and leggings, heading down and looking like they’re just trying to make it through the day. Once in a while, there’s a spark, a girl strutting to her next class, looking ready to take on the day. What I always notice about these girls is that they all have something in common: a cute outfit and a pep in their step.

Wearing something that stands out should not be something scary; it should be something fun, a way to assert your confidence and say, “I’m ready for whatever the day throws at me.” You never know who might notice your energy and strike up a conversation. Lucky for you, if you walk the walk, you can talk the talk.

This Fashionista woke up feeling confident and put together an unstoppable look to take on the day. Starting with her favorite pair of boyfriend jeans, which also covered the comfort factor, she paired them with a white flowy top that has flare sleeves to show her boho side.

Next, it was time to accessorize with all of her favorites. Beginning with her silver and stone rings, she then moved on to her favorite part of every outfit—necklaces, the perfect and simple way to spice up any outfit. She chose her four-layer gold necklace to bring a colorful and edgy aspect to the look. Wanting something more, she chose her gold choker to give the layer necklace even more depth.

To top off this bohemian rhapsody, this Fashionista put on her favorite pair of brown leather clogs to seal the deal, a guaranteed pep in the step. Finally, to hold her belongings, she grabbed her favorite fringe bag. With a power look like this, she walked around campus with eye-catching confidence and an unbeatable attitude.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Sometimes the most fun outfits are the ones that take you out of your comfort zone. I wasn’t the typical ‘boho’ girl, but I started buying and wearing things piece by piece and eventually felt more comfortable in that kind of style. No matter what you wear, it looks best when worn with confidence, so own your look!”
