STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Little Black Dress

Fall is quickly approaching this semester and I couldn’t be more excited! Time to whip out your pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters and Halloween costumes! Did I mention layering too? Fall is usually the best time to start layering on your clothes because the weather isn’t too hot, but it’s also not too cold. It’s absolutely perfect for those cold mornings and hot afternoons.

Although fall may have the best transition to a new season, it can also get a little too easy to fall back on basic sweats and hoodies. Luckily, this Fashionista shows us the perfect way to get through the season without falling back on cute trends.

When I saw this Fashionista on campus, I instantly fell in love with her outfit. I mean, who doesn’t love a good LBD? The best thing about a simple black dress is that it is super easy to style. You can either wear it by itself, or you can add different accessories to give it more of a polished look. This babe shows off her little black dress by adding a cute, faux suede fringed jacket to her outfit! Although the black dress might seem simple, wearing the tan sneakers and tying the jacket around her waist gives her more of an edgy look. The outfit can be worn like this usually around the afternoon when the sun is out and the temperature is still rising. You can also wear the jacket in the morning or the evening if you are on campus for a while. This outfit is very versatile and I would definitely wear this to class!

Don’t let the new season get the best of your style! Who says flannels are the only thing you can tie around your waist? You can easily accessorize a simple outfit by tying any outerwear around your waistline. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different jackets: they can easily add versatility to your wardrobe!
