STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Daring Denim

It seems as though denim has been around since the beginning of time. I cannot remember a time that denim was not part of my go-to outfit. Many people gravitate towards denim because it is simple, easy and versatile. Jeans have always been in style, but lately the denim trend has expanded out. There has been a comeback of denim skirts, shirts and jackets. People are even styling denim on denim, which has become huge this fall and winter season. With such a huge assortment of denim washes and colors, Fashionistas are finding it easier to pair denim with denim without it looking too messy or too blue.

This Fashionista paired her black skinny jeans with a dark distressed denim jacket. Adding in a simple, striped top with the crossover detail keeps the look interesting without taking too much attention over from the denim pieces. She tied in a faux suede, layered necklace with three tribal inspired charms. It adds to the edgy feel with worn out silver jewelry.

The bipolar weather makes it so hard to decide what to wear every morning. The frigid temperature during the morning does not prepare us for the beautiful weather during mid afternoon. Layering pieces is key to feeling comfortable all throughout the day. This Fashionista’s denim jacket will keep her warm for the cooler weather in the morning, but have her ready for 60 to 70 degree weather for later in the day. You cannot go wrong by styling your outfit with a pair of combat boots with the fall weather. It adds comfort and another sense of edge to this denim look.
