STYLE ADVICE: It Girl

The “It Girl” is few and far between, but easy to spot when you see her. She possesses indefinable appeal, and of course, a unique style. I would definitely label this Fashionista an “It Girl.” Her vintage street-style look is bound to capture everyone’s attention, and more importantly, she wears it with confidence.

I was immediately drawn to this Fashionista’s red cowboy boots. Paired with high-waisted denim and a vintage coat, the look is incredibly cohesive. I find that the colors camel and red are very complementary when paired together. I am also a big fan of statement pieces, especially paired with more casual clothing. My advice to you would be to have a few staple statement pieces in your closet that can be paired with more minimalist outfits. For me, one of those statement pieces is a pink faux fur coat. I think that wearing it with a simple black or minimal outfit can really tie my look together.

This winter, I have been a big fan of the color camel. It is timeless, and can be made more interesting when paired with bright pops of color. Minimal, tan looks with statement pieces were seen this fall at NYFW in collections by Prabal Gurung and Delpozo.

I always admire when people wear their clothing effortlessly and proudly, and I find that I am most drawn to people that are confident in what they’re wearing. When someone isn’t questioning his or her look, you aren’t likely to do so either.

I am in love with this Fashionista’s overall look, from the color combination, to the risk factor that she took with her red boots. Since seeing her sport this outfit, I have begun to think that I could use a pair of cowboy boots for my wardrobe as well! I mean, who couldn’t use a little style inspiration from an “it” girl, after all?
