BEAUTY BAR: Wine Not

Not only is fall my favorite season for fashion, but it is also my favorite season for makeup and beauty looks. I recruited my beautiful friend Sarah to help me with this month’s Beauty Bar advice. Sarah and I drove around our college town of Ames, Iowa, and stumbled upon this hidden gem of a park. This cute outdoor stage served as the perfect spot to highlight Sarah’s fall, wine-colored look.

Not only does this Fashionista have the most gorgeous balayage hair, but she also has amazing makeup skills. Almost every product she used was a budget-friendly drugstore product. Finding great, high-end dupes is one of my favorite hobbies, so I loved how this Fashionista incorporated this into her beauty look as well. A few of the products she used included Maybelline FitMe foundation, NYC lipstick in shade “320 Mahogany” and a variety of NYX best selling primers, bronzers and powders. These products can be found at your local WalMart, Target or Walgreens. For eyeshadow, however, she did use Kylie Cosmetics KyShadow palette in Bronze, which does run a little more on the pricier end (Look for the new KyShadow palette in Burgandy which releases soon on kyliecosmetics.com).

I loved that Sarah brought a ton of outfit ideas over to my apartment because I would have done the exact same thing (I am pretty sure we are long lost sisters). After much deliberation, we opted for this Forever 21 violet top to encompass all the wine colors that she incorporated into her makeup. I am probably a little biased, but I swear Sarah can pull off anything. Although a one-toned top and leggings may seem simple, Sarah looks absolutely stunning. I may have bragged a little bit about my skills as a photographer, but it is not too difficult to get great photos of this wine-inspired look when your model is beautiful. Thanks so much to Sarah for letting me document her style and inspire me on some adorable fall trends and colors.
