ALL IN THE DETAILS: She’s All Tat

Hello, boys and girls! Today we are going to talk about details. When it comes to picking an outfit for the day, I don’t know about you all but I sometimes just blank. There are times that I look at my clothes and have no idea what I ever wear because nothing seems right together. On days like this, I usually accept my failure and throw on some shorts and a T-shirt. If you’re like me, I will remind you of the lesson this week’s Fashionista reminded me of: small details can make an outfit.

If you just feel like throwing on a plain white T-shirt and some shorts, there are always hats, bags and jewelry to add on. This stunning Fashionista rocks one detail that sometimes manages to go overlooked in the fashion world: tattoos. Of course I was an instant fan of her ring collection and casual, makeshift, crop T-shirt but these are not the details that sold the look for me. Her tattoos just screamed screamed confidence to me. Before you stop reading, I know tattoos are not everyone’s cup of tea. I myself was anti-tattoos for a long time (mostly because I still cry when I get my finger pricked at check ups), but I have recently developed a new appreciation for these slightly painful works of art. Tattoos are an expression of who you are, and this Fashionista knows just how to express herself.

This Fashionista did not wear some tight crop top in hopes of showing off her entire tattoo which covers the length of her ribs. Instead, she just accentuated her ink by tying up her big T-shirt and opting for short sleeves. I completely understand being proud of your ink and wanting to show it off, but sometimes moderation is key.

Finally, this rockstar Fashioninsta accentuated her details with a ripped, plain white T-shirt, a high-waisted jean skirt and a flannel around her waist. Throw on some Birkenstocks and your everyday purse and you have got this Fashionista’s look.

How To: I am not telling you that you need to go get tattoos to imitate this look! But if you do get one, make sure it is meaningful to you and not just something you think is trendy. If you already have tattoos, take a note from this Fashionista and be proud of them without going out of your way to show them all off. Don’t let other people’s judgments diminish your confidence. If you do not have tattoos, try to get this Fashionista’s style by trying on more things that you may not think is your style, like this knee length jean skirt, for example.
