ALL IN THE DETAILS: Color and Class

Think about how boring our lives would be without accessories? Outfits would be dull and there would be no such thing as basics that we could dress up! Nothing is easier than having a go-to basic clothing item and being able to pair it with accessories to change the look. Dresses, in my opinion, are the best example of a basic item to have in your closet. A plain dress can be accessorized in so many ways, which makes it perfect for last minute outfits and traveling. Choosing the right accessories means looking chic for a day of shopping or dressing up for a date night! Forget changing your clothes: just change your accessories so you can go from day to night in no time!

I caught this Fashionista rocking a versatile LBD that she accessorized perfectly with an easygoing vibe to it. Her scarf added a wonderful pop of printed color and it can be used year round! The layered bracelets added a personal touch to her style, something I think is important in every outfit. Crocheted TOMS shoes are a great touch of texture and pattern while remaining as a neutral shoe that’s an alternative to a ballet flat. They are also more secure if you’re running around a lot! She paired a fashionable camel tote bag that allows her to carry her notebooks, laptop or whatever other necessities she may need that can also be used for her internship or work. This tote can be used for class and work without having to switch bags in the middle of the day.

How To: Play up one of your basic dresses or outfits with a colorful scarf and personalized bracelets! The color will draw eyes up to your face while the bracelets accent your arms so they don’t look bare compared to your outfit.
