WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

At this time of the year, the weather has become brutally cold and we should all just migrate down south with the birds, but even New York City has a beauty to it in the cold. And, as the weekend comes to close, there’s no better way to enjoy NYC than with a classic Sunday morning brunch with your friends. But how does one resist the urge the put sweatpants and UGGs on when it’s this cold?! Well, this Fashionista has got it all figured out!

Fabulously bundled in everything faux fur, this Fashionista is keeping it cozy, warm and classy in her Sunday brunch outfit—perfect for these frigid New York temperatures. Let’s start with her black plush sweater, which is SO soft. It’ll feel exactly like the old college sweatshirt you almost couldn’t resist, but way trendier. She paired this with black jeggings which is also a great alternative to leggings or sweatpants. This way, you’ll still be comfortable while being stylish. As for the jacket, rather than a boring peacoat or usual bubble jacket, this Fashionista added her own touch with this fabulous oversized fur coat. It’s chic and trendy—perfect for a brunch in the city—but also super warm like your own personal blanket. For some finishing touches, she added a pretty beige statement necklace with hints of lilac and blush, a gold Michael Kors watch, a beige kate spade bag, and black booties.

One Simple Change: After you get done with brunch and head back home, you realize tomorrow is Monday and it’s back to reality. Luckily, you can easily take this brunch outfit and turn it into your Monday morning class outfit by throwing on a chambray collared shirt under the sweater and ditching the statement necklace for a simple one.
