WHAT TO WEAR: Winter Errands

Winter in New York is my favorite time of the year. There is always so much to do when the holidays come around, such as shopping, meeting friends, and visiting the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. All this running around requires an outfit that is effortlessly stylish and comfortable.

This Fashionista’s outfit is perfect for running errands in the city. Her outfit is dark, which is perfect for blending in with the city environment. She’s wearing a black, long, fleece-lined jacket with a plain shirt underneath. I love that this jacket seems very simple at first but actually has cool details, like a huge hood and an asymmetrical zipper.

Her jeans have just the right amount of rips to add and edgy vibe to the look. I absolutely love distressed denim because they can be worn in so many ways and add a dynamic factor to any outfit. I especially love them in a looser fit for a more laid-back look. I’m sure everyone knows that Timberlands are a New York staple, so these black ones are perfect for unexpected flurries and stomping through puddles.

To tie the look together, this Fashionista is wearing a black beanie and dark colored lipstick. Winter is the perfect time to add dark reds, plums, and browns to your makeup arsenal. Experiment with dark lip colors by keeping the rest of your face simple.

Last but not least, always carry a big shopper tote for spontaneous purchases and to hold your essentials, like a reusable water bottle or a boot for the subway ride.

Overall, this Fashionista looked very comfortable and cool at the time. Her outfit has an urban grunge vibe to it, which I really like and would also wear.
