WHAT TO WEAR: Winter

SUNY Oneonta is known for its unpredictable weather. One day it’s gloomy, snowing, and below freezing and the next day it’s absolutely beautiful and sunny. Fashionistas/os are often weather confused and unsure how to dress. Like many others, this Fashionista is prepping herself for the harsh cold winter that lies ahead.

Before it’s too cold and winter is in full-fledged mode, many Fashionistas/os will find themselves wearing a lighter jacket before it’s time to completely bundle up in hats, gloves and scarves. This Fashionista is sporting a beautiful Michael Kors trench coat layering a white sheer tank and pair of jeggings. Like many of her peers, she will be sporting the trench coat look this semester. Any fellow Oneonta student is aware that some form of precipitation is usually prevalent during a typical day. As trench coats are waterproof, they provide as a weather practical aesthetic in addition to being stylish.

Jeggings are another must have this semester. With snow most days than not in Oneonta, it’s time to break out the boots. A pair of fitted jeggings are essential to have when tucking pants into high boots. This Fashionista pulls off this jegging/boot combo well. She adds a little bit of her own persona by incorporating a pair of colored jeggings to this ensemble. This shade of blue allows this Fashionista to stand out from others who may not be bold enough to rock a colored jean.

The winter blues sometimes overcome Fashionistas/os. In a town where most days are gloomy, try to add bright colors to your wardrobe that will brighten your mood. This Fashionista paired an eye-popping white tank to her outfit to contrast the dark colors of her coat, jeggings and boots. This Fashionista’s look encompasses the perfect winter look that many will be sure to strut around in on campus this semester.

One Simple Change: Translate this look into an outfit for the spring. Simply remove the jacket and swap out the boots for a pair of sandals for an overall fun and flirty spring ensemble.
