WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

Now that Pittsburgh has witnessed temperatures hit 80 degrees, the shorts and flip flops have been dusted off, and there’s no going back. So pack up those sweaters and boots because it’s time to show a little skin again! Whether you’re out strolling around town, having lunch or shopping, you can’t go wrong with a breezy dress and some comfortable sandals. Dresses are the go-to choice for relaxed Saturdays spent hanging around the park or even road tripping to visit friends and family. They’re cute, casual and comfortable but create a look that is polished and presentable. You never know who you may run into, so always dress to impress!

This Fashionista went for a soft bohemian look with a long sleeve printed dress, a wool floppy hat and some buckled flatform sandals. The purple hat adds a nice pop of color to the outfit while the patterned, mid-length dress adds texture and creates a nice balanced look. The criss-cross detailing on the back of the dress is very pretty and feminine. Details such as this are small, but they really add a lot to the outfit. The sandals finish off the look and keep the overall style casual. You also can’t go wrong with some retro sunglasses! This Fashionista went with light, natural makeup complemented by some soft waves in her hair. It looks great! I encourage everyone to experiment with natural beauty products this season. You’re beautiful the way you are.

Accessories, such as the floppy hat, are becoming extremely popular as we leave behind the cold and look ahead to the sunny days of summer. Hats are a great accessory to incorporate into your spring and summer style. They look great, and they’re functional! Nobody wants a sunburnt nose.

Dresses such as this are quickly becoming one of my favorite trends. They’re fun, feminine and if you can’t tell from previous articles, I absolutely love boho! It’s chic and wild with a bit of an edge. Everyone eventually finds a style category that fits their personality. If you look good, you feel good. A smile is the best accessory you can wear.

One Simple Change: When the sun goes down and you head home to dress up for dinner, a show or a party with friends, there’s no need to say goodbye to the dress. Ditch the hat and try adding some neutral-colored wedge heels and a statement necklace to liven up the look.
