WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

Weekends are a time to relax, to catch up with friends, to head to your local farmer’s market and to do a little (or a lot) of homework, of course. It finally looks like winter is beginning to come to a close in Seattle, and the entire city is outside celebrating. However, it’s still a bit chilly out. How do you enjoy this newly rediscovered, sunny weather while remaining warm and cozy? This Fashionista shows us how to put together the perfect look that is warm, casual, comfy and chic. I especially love her all-black color palette, with pops of gray, camel and brown. Although the weather is sunny, this look is still appropriate as we come to the end of the winter months.

This Fashionista shows us how to layer her black Free People dress under another Free People top, this time a cozy black sweater. She pairs these pieces with simple, dark gray leggings, which makes this look easy and casual. They’re perfect for weekend wear. She finished off the look with minimal jewelry, choosing to focus on a chunky black scarf, a black wide-brimmed boho hat and her brown combat boots that evoke an equestrian feel. This look instantly makes me think of her strolling through a farmer’s market on a sunny Saturday or spending time with friends at brunch or an art museum. It’s casual, soft, neutral and cute, and it looks extremely effortless and easy to wear. This look is perfect to wear in the winter months, as spring begins to creep up on us. It can even be worn without the outer layer sweater and instead with a jean jacket as the weather begins to warm up, making it a great transitional piece.

One Simple Change: You can add the black hat or take it off to focus on your gorgeous hair. Additionally, take off the sweater and throw on a denim jacket once the weather gets a little warmer.
