WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

When I’m at school, I’m always on the run. My friends can vouch for me that I always seem to be on the go. Whether it is sorority events or professor’s office hours, there is always a place to be. In college, it is easy to feel stressed and not feel like there are enough hours in the day to get everything done. As much as I enjoy having my phone filled with alarms and reminders of places to be, I really do appreciate the weekends to rest and de-stress.

As I was walking to one of my favorite coffee shops on campus, I came across this Fashionista. I was first attracted to her floral scarf. What can I say? I’m a spring sort of gal. Her chambray shirt and floral scarf are reminiscent of warm weather. A chambray shirt is a staple for all seasons. In spring and summer, a chambray shirt can be paired with shorts and skirts. As this Fashionista demonstrates, this chambray can be used as a layering piece in the colder months. This Fashionista adds a winter edge to her outfit by introducing dark skinny jeans, black riding boots and a black winter coat. I’m loving this military-inspired winter coat. The dark tones help toughen up the sweet spring essentials, like a floral scarf and chambray shirt. Her warm coat and head scarf keep her toasty through whatever weekend activities come her way. From the library to lunch dates with friends, this Fashionista is set for a chic afternoon.

One Simple Change: It is tempting to be lazy on the weekends and stay in sweats all weekend, especially in this bitter cold. Ditch those sweats for a comfy cowl neck sweater! It is just as cozy as your favorite sweatshirt, but not sloppy.
