WHAT TO WEAR: Traveling

In my travels in and around Italy, my friends and I stumbled upon a village just outside of Florence called Fiesole. Fiesole is a quiet town with quiet people that just so happens to have an incredible view of the city from above.

While every Fashionista understands it is utterly important to be on your best style behavior, especially when abroad, sometimes it is hard to do so when you are out of your comfort zone. Sticking to what you know may seem innate, but why not push your style boundaries while exploring a new place?

It was a gorgeous day despite the Tuscan sun beating down on us. It was the perfect time to mix and match easy traveling styles with a laid back European feel. On this outing, I spotted my fashionable friend sporting a high-low halter dress with an intricate pattern and a sexy back. The pattern itself featured a combination of pinks, reds and yellows, with a lace overlay throughout. Mirroring the low-cut front, the back swung down to the base of her spine where it was tied together with a bow, giving it an open and airy feel, all while complementing her own personal style.

While this dress could have been enough of a statement on its own, she completed her outfit with a pair of sleek black sunglasses, a brown cross-body bag and simple everyday sandals. Needless to say, this was the perfect outfit for exploring a quaint town at the end of the summer season. Comfortable, practical and to the point, this took throwing on a summer sundress to a whole new level.

One Simple Change: To take this outfit from day to night, just swap sandals for a pair of brown wedge mules.
