WHAT TO WEAR: The Not-So-Ugly Christmas Sweater

Hey snow bunnies! As December rolls around the corner we Fashionistas have one big task at hand—to transition our wardrobes from our cozy fall sweaters to our thicker wool blends and cool hued winter essentials. What better way to celebrate the last month of 2016 than by rocking a serenity-toned sweater? Serenity blue was my personal favorite Pantone Color of the Year for 2016 and it’s the perfect color to rock in the month of December! December is the month of celebrating the year with loved ones, drinking hot cocoa and of course, rocking your ugly Christmas sweaters! Or is it?

With all of the cliche holiday clothing choices like the light-up snow man and “elfie selfie” sweaters, it can be tough to show your love for the most wonderful time of the year in a chic, fashionable way. Luckily by pairing a classic wool blend skirt with a serenity hued sweater, you can be icy-cool without having snow flakes plastered on your chest. Instead of the ugliest Christmas sweater you can find, show up to your local holiday party in this fierce and fashion forward fit; no hot glue gun required! By pairing a serenity-toned sweater with a neutral gray and black skirt and black knee-high boots, this Fashionista is ready to take on the winter season.

You can easily create this outfit or add a holiday twist to it to make it your own. You can find a similar serenity blue sweater to this fashionista’s here and her black knee-high boots here.
