WHAT TO WEAR: The Beauty in the Business

As a college student, most of you are coming to the point in your life where you need to start interviewing for potential internships and careers. Being a Fashionista, you want to very much stand out and not blend in. You may begin to ask yourself, is black my color or should I go with more vibrant colors? Whatever the case may be, you must always dress as professional as the person interviewing you, if not more.

This Fashionista is dressed simple, but classy. She is wearing a cuffed button-down with a woman’s suit. The blazer is a matching dark gray and very fitted. Her pants are straight legged and cuffed at the bottom. With a blazer, there are so many options to choose from. You could wear a blazer that is fitted, three-quarter sleeves, long-lined, or a deep V-neck. Also to add your own spin on things, you could add a pop of color. This is something that you could really have fun with. She wore black leather booties and carried a bright red purse to go with her lip color.

Her makeup is very simple, which is also very sophisticated. It is preferred by employers to not overdo your makeup, due to the simple reason of professionalism. She is wearing subtle face and a bright lip while accentuating her outfit with an Apple watch and a few bracelets. This is very appealing to the eye and adds class.

As Coco Chanel said it best, “A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”
