WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

When it comes to weather on Rocky Top, nothing is for certain. So you can imagine my surprise when Knoxville weather has maintained a gorgeous, sunny 70 degrees ever since it officially became spring. And as the warmer weather brings out buds in flowers and boats on the river, it also brings out a whole new breed of Fashionistas/os on campus. Thankfully, I was able to pull aside this Fashionista who inspired me to reevaluate my wardrobe for the warmer weather.

I spotted this Fashionista on her way to class and absolutely adored her sweet spring outfit. She paired a basic gray V-neck T-shirt with a mint green skater skirt. Her shirt was perfectly tucked into her skirt with the help of a stretchy belt that featured a beautiful gold ornament. The gold in the belt also reflected the amazing sandals this Fashionista wore and worked well against her dainty jewelry and pretty earrings. In addition, this Fashionista also rocked some bright pink lipstick that set the mood for the warmer weather that’s finally come to Rocky Top.

When it comes to the change in seasons, I’m always invigorated to update my style. I always go through my wardrobe to eliminate the pieces I no longer wear and to remind myself of some of my favorites to really show off my personal style. And this Fashionista has proved to me that it’s all about the skirt and shirt combination to feel comfortable and stylish in the springtime. I have only her to thank for my new favorite outfit combination!

One Simple Change: In order to have this chic ensemble transition from campus to downtown for date night with your significant other, switch the sandals for pretty platforms and throw on a sweet bomber jacket to keep warm come night when the temperatures drop.
