With the emergence of spring not only comes blooming flowers and bits of sunshine but also lighter jackets and flowy blouses. Although spring is often deemed as a highly underrated season, I believe that it is a time to explore new trends and prepare for summer! Personally, my favorite part about spring is the ability to continue to layer, albeit with lighter pieces.

This Fashionista emulates the ideal spring look. She has chosen to go with a light white blouse that has some sheer detail on the top. The added detail makes the top a little bit more breathable and is definitely appropriate for the season. Seeing as the weather remains cool at this time of year in Vancouver, this Fashionista layers a lighter leather jacket on top of her blouse. The quilted shoulder and sliver hardware on the jacket make the outfit slightly edgier. Finally, she includes a pair of light washed, distressed denim into her look. By going with a lighter colored jean, this Fashionista further gives off a spring vibe.

She completes her outfit with an emerald green bag and some soft gray, suede booties. While the bag adds a tasteful pop of color to the outfit, the booties complete the look. The booties are a more muted color and add to an overall spring feel.

One Simple Change: Throughout the spring, you may experience a range of different temperatures. If you are dealing with a spurt of particularly cold weather, then you may consider adding one more layer underneath your jacket. For instance, you could try incorporating a simple hooded sweater to keep warm.
