WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

It’s safe to say that spring fever is consuming all of us here on the northeast. With small sprouts of grass starting to pop through the melted snow, East Coasters are excited that the snow apocalypse is finally over. Here at Marist, students are definitely a tad weather confused. Half of us are still sporting our sweatshirts and UGGs, while others have taken the brief 60-degree days as an excuse to wear a sundress and flats. With the official start of spring happening this week, this Fashionista displays the perfect early spring outfit.

In a big sweater and bright TOMS shoes, this Fashionista picked the perfect outfit to transition into the spring season. The comfy sweater is warm enough to wear without a jacket outside but still light enough to not overheat in the heated academic buildings. Plus, its slouchy look is comfy and casual. For shoes, she chose to go with a simple pair of TOMS shoes. A definite spring must-have. Her bright red ones add a pop of color to her otherwise neutral outfit and are vibrant enough to bring in the spring. Lastly, she accessorized her outfit with dainty jewelry that expresses her personality. I learned a lot about this Fashionista just by looking at the plethora of her simple charm bracelets.

Transitioning into another season is one of the hardest things all Fashionistas face. When your mind is ready for the new trends of the season, but the weather still has bits of chill, an outfit can become a cacophony of seasonally confused aspects. However, by following the example set by this Fashionista, you are sure to reign in the spring the right way without being cold!

One Simple Change: If you are dying to wear an outfit like this, but the weather just isn’t cooperating, throw on a light jacket and pair of riding boots to beat the chill. The cold weather will not be a hindrance on this outfit’s capabilities!
