WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

April 8th, 2016 at 2:00am

The transition between winter and spring is an amazing time of year. It means we’re that much closer to summer and break; however, the transition isn’t always easy. It can sometimes seem impossible to pick out an outfit this time of year when the weather is in between feeling like winter and spring. Being in Italy this time of year, the mornings are cold but by noon the sun is shining and it’s warm out, which makes picking out an outfit that much more challenging. This Fashionista, seen in Venice, Italy, perfectly mastered the awkward weather between winter and spring with this outfit.

She chose a black skirt and tights with an off white sweater, which is perfect for the weather in Italy right now. She also added a black jacket with leather sleeves, a beautiful gold and navy scarf and a pair of tall black boots.

All of these elements of the outfit make it perfect for springtime weather, but easily adaptable for when the weather starts changing and it becomes hotter and hotter each day. This style is great for spring because she can take off the jacket or scarf if it gets too warm out. Her outfit is also perfect for running errands, grabbing a bite to eat with friends, or even going to class.

One Simple Change: Since the black skirt is a staple item, it’s easy to change this spring look to a summer look. You can lose the jacket, sweater, scarf and boots, and add a lace top, a statement necklace and some sandals or laced flats to make it more weather appropriate.
