WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

Get ready to break out a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans and your favorite sunglasses—it’s finally springtime here at Penn State. It’s time to retire those oversized parkas and snow boots and bring back the T-shirts and sandals. Spring is personally my favorite season to dress for because I love being able to wear jeans with a pair of sandals one day, and then a fun tank dress the next. There are endless outfit options available during the spring and this beautiful Fashionista is effortlessly rocking a few of my favorite spring trends, which include: military jackets, boyfriend jeans and round sunglasses.

Spotted while walking to class, this Fashionista threw on a classic olive colored military jacket over her heather gray tank top. She rocks this perfectly casual look with a few added accessories to make it stand out. I had to include a picture of her floral printed backpack because it is so unique and trendy. Backpacks are a fun way to represent your overall style since you wear one basically everyday to class. Her statement necklace adds the perfect pop of a sun kissed orange color into this look, which contrasts nicely with the olive jacket. Inspired by the ’60s, she opted for a pair of retro style sunglasses. The delicate lace from her gunmetal-colored bralette adds a seamless girly touch to her look. I love bralettes for the spring and summer seasons because they easily dress up an outfit and they are lightweight enough for those hotter days. Another great investment for the springtime is a good pair of boyfriend jeans. These are the perfect bottoms for those breezy, warm spring days. Finishing the look off, this Fashionista chose a pair of Birkenstock sandals. Birkenstock sandals are a great investment because they last forever and they can be paired with basically any outfit.

One Simple Change: After a day full of errands and class all you want to do is go out and have fun with your friends. Swap out the sandals for a pair of strappy heels to take this look up a notch. I think pairing destroyed jeans with a fun pair of heels makes for the perfect combination for a girl’s night out.
