WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

Spring has finally sprung and with this comes warmer weather, greener grass and more time spent outside. The change of the seasons also brings about the change of all the Fashionistas/os’s closets. Out with the cable knit sweaters and leggings, in with the rain boots and rain jackets. Many are taking full advantage of the warmer weather by dressing like it’s now summer, wearing T-shirts and shorts around campus. For those of us not yet brave enough to bare our pale legs in the sunlight this Fashionista’s outfit gives major spring inspiration. This look is perfect for a long day of classes during the spring.

This Fashionista has put together the perfect spring time outfit, suitable for the chilly mornings and warm afternoons. The key to dressing for spring-time is light layers that can be easily taken off or added on. This Fashionista has placed a thin knit cardigan overtop of a sheer black tank top, perfect for the changing temperature that takes place throughout the day. Adding to the look, this Fashionista paired a sheer, black tank top with distressed, light-wash jeans and heeled black booties. Accessories complete this Fashionista’s neutral outfit. Since the sun is finally shining again sunglasses are a necessity, and they also help pull this outfit together. This Fashionista is also sporting some RAD earrings and a cute leather bag.

One Simple Change: This outfit can easily transition to appropriate tailgating attire. Swap out the heeled black booties with a pair of sneakers, for example, a pair of Converse or adidas Originals in order to achieve a casual tailgating look. Also, swap out the black tank top with a T-shirt from your school’s team to show your support. To finish off the look, add in accessories in your team’s colors to add a pop to this otherwise neutral outfit.
